Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRCComplete identity design and application
Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) are funded for a total of seven years, during which the research is commercialised and the CRC dissolved. The Bushfire CRC received an extension after the Black Saturday fires but eventually came to a close mid 2014.
Paraph was commissioned to create a readily recognisable presence for the new Bushfire and Natural Hazard CRC identity design that reflected the expanded multi hazard focus of the research group to prepare, prevent, respond and recover.
ApplicationsA successful identity should be flexible enough to work at any size and on any surface.
These banners were design for the CRC’s launch in December 2013 and were flanked by emergency services trucks and helicopter at Parliament House, Canberra.
They were designed to be flexible enough to be used as a triptych, as a double banner display when the outer two are swapped over, or as single pull-ups where space is limited.
Banner are ideal for launches, trade shows, conferences or in places where you need to stand out from the crowd.
Paraph provided the design solution for the new CRC website and worked in close consultation with BoaB Interactive to develop this news style website.
BoaB interactive is a small, agile solutions developer serving the natural resource management and collaborative research communities and we have worked closely with Boab to deliver both this website and its predecessor, www.bushfirecrc.com.
In addition to the printed material, a set of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint templates were created for researchers. These templates are used to submit research findings as either a report or poster. Paraph also designed a professional InDesign template for newsletters with an easy to use style sheet and grid for non-designers and desktop operators.
